Geography game
Last updated: [update this date when you publish]
Carte Blanche Geo is a small, independently run project. This policy explains what information the game collects and why.
Playing as a guest. You don't need an account to play. Guest scores, hint balances, and progress are stored only in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
Creating an account. If you choose to create an account, we store your chosen username, your points, streaks, and other game stats, so they can sync across your devices and appear on the public leaderboard if you play the Daily Challenge. Accounts are authenticated through Supabase, our backend provider; we don't ask for or store an email address you'd recognize as your own — sign-in is by username and password only.
Advertising. This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. More detail on how Google uses information from sites that use its services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
What we don't do. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond the service providers above who are needed to run the site (Google, for ads; Supabase, for optional accounts).
Children's privacy. Carte Blanche Geo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time by contacting carteblanchegeo@gmail.com. Clearing your browser's local storage removes all guest data immediately.
Changes. If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new date at the top.
